		<description>Louis,
Thanks for the comment. I guess what I was referring to was selling an unlocked open phone that anyone could develop to. Now that would be bold and ballsy like the old Apple.

<description>"What if Apple had the launched the IPhone with the same "damn the establishment" nerve that they launched their company?"
They did, but you just don't see it.
The establishment in mobile phone industry is the other "Smart Phone" manufacturers, Microsoft and Symbian. Apple has kicked over their business plan. The other Smart Phone manufacturers can't stand the competition. They can no longer sell "Smart Phone" hardware that does nothing compared to the iPhone at a subsidized price and then charge extra for lousy web services.
The Motorola "Q" does nothing compared to the iPhone; it is sold at a subsidized price of $99. The real price charged to the phone companies is $250 who jack up their service price to receive back their subsidy over the next two years. That is why Smart Phones and their required two year service contracts cost more than does the iPhone by $400 to a $1000. The Motorola "Q" winds up costing $400 more than a iPhone over two years of use.
This isn't kicking the establishment where it hurts? Get real.

<description>I generally believe RSS is overhyped - but i think this is one area where pub/sub is a great paradigm.

<description>I think you have to ping them individually. If you're looking to create any sort of relationship there, it has to be personal.

<description>Hey -- check your Feedburner feed -- it isn't feeding, or burning, or whatever it is supposed to be doing.

		<description>Jeff,
Thanks for the comment. You are right, though as long as agencies bring value to their customers (and I would be happy to explain why I think they do now and will continue to so for a long time) they are going to be part of the process that we must accommodate.
